These 1-on-1 sessions with a CFP® Professional are part of our mission to provide equitable planning solutions that acknowledge and combat the racial wealth gap.

Free Friday Drop-In Sessions

Who: This service is reserved for those who identify as Black or Indigenous.

What: Drop-In sessions are 1-on-1 conversations designed for you to ask questions about money in a comfortable, supportive, and confidential setting.

When: Virtual Drop-In office hours are held every Friday. Your first session lasts 45 minutes. Once you sign up, that time slot is reserved for you.

How: You’ll sign a brief engagement letter stating that financial coaching services will span a 3-month period, starting the date of your 1st session. Sign up for your first session below.

No Cost: All sessions during this 3-month period are completely free, during which you can schedule as many Friday sessions as needed. Most Drop-In clients resolve their primary financial concerns within 1-3 sessions, easily fitting within the 3-month timeframe.

How do I schedule a Drop-In session?

  1. Click the above button to select your session time and answer a short questionnaire. Please only schedule one session at this time.

  2. Immediately upon scheduling, you will receive confirmation of your reserved session via email along with a virtual meeting link.

  3. After you have scheduled, we will email you an engagement letter to e-sign. You must complete this contract at least 48 hours before your scheduled session. We cannot provide advice without a signed contract.

  4. No other preparation is required. All you have to do is set this time aside for yourself.

    We ask that you provide 24-hr cancellation notice if you are unable to attend your session. No-shows will result in a terminated contract.

  • Free Friday Drop-In meetings is a service created specifically to support the communities most deeply affected by the racial wealth divide. Currently, these services are offered to those who identify as Black or Indigenous.

    The racial wealth gap significantly hinders access to financial advice for these communities. This systemic inequity creates barriers to financial stability and limiting opportunities across all aspects of life, such as homeownership, educational opportunities, healthcare access, and generational wealth. Moneyfluent aims to ease barriers to financial advice by offering prompt access to a financial planner at no cost.

  • This is an open discussion about your finances, and it’s up to you how you would like to use this time. If you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay too, and we can take the lead.

    We can talk about goals, struggles, financial insecurity, money habits, safety nets, budgeting, debt, saving, spending, employer benefits, building credit, life milestones and big changes, investment education, employer benefits and retirement accounts, estate planning, insurance, and the list goes on.

    We do not provide personalized investment recommendations under this engagement. The majority of Drop-In clients find value in first focusing on other financial areas. When you’re ready for this step in your financial journey, we can discuss if Moneyfluent’s other planning services suit your needs.

  • No specific preparation is necessary for your Drop-In session. During our first session together, we'll guide you on the documentation and information that might be helpful to bring or prepare for future discussions.

  • Currently, this service is only offered through Friday sessions.
